Fishing Rules

  • NEW: For 2020, 6 people maximum to include only 3 anglers.
  • The only particle to be used at the venue is hemp.
  • NO maggots allowed at the venue.
  • No standing when posing with fish for photographs.
  • A maximum of; 3 fishing rods, 1 spod rod and 1 marker rod per angler.
  • A maximum of; 1 hook per rod or rig.
  • Barbed hooks only
  • No braided mainlines, leaders or leadcore.
  • No fixed leads (all leads must be able to fall free in the event of break-offs).
  • All rigs must free the hooklength from the lead mainline and leader in the event of a breakage. Example PB products hit and run system
  • No sacking of fish (please ensure that you have camera equipment that works in the dark).
  • No shelf-life bait and no uncooked nuts.
  • Antiseptic Gel must be used to treat the mouths of all fish after every catch.
  • All fishing lines are to be reeled in when rods are not attended.
  • Bait boats are allowed at the venue and can be hired, but please book in advance with us.

Personal Rules

  • Dogs are very welcome at the venue but please respect the use of the house. Any cleaning required as the result of your dog will be charged at 100 euros. There is a vet close to the venue where any vaccinations can be arranged if necessary.
  • Please use the ashtrays and bins provided at the swims and do not throw rubbish in the lake.
  • Please ensure you have sufficient holiday insurance in the event of accidents and illness.
  • Please don’t smoke in the house.
  • Excessive use of alcohol or other intoxicating substances will not be tolerated and result in being asked to leave the venue.
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times.
  • Please ensure that all accommodation; the gite and the cabins, are vacated by 10am on departure day, and left in a clean tidy condition.
  • Please ensure that all equipment is returned to its appropriate place and left in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Please report all damage and breakages to John.
  • Please uphold these simple rules at all times.
  • Please always use the life jackets provided if using the boat.

Terms and conditions

  • Any infringement of the rules will result in the termination of your holiday without refund.
  • We accept no responsibility for accident or injury unless it is a result of our direct action. Please ensure you have health and accident insurance.
  • To avoid disappointment, equipment hire, bait and food packages must be agreed before arrival and they must be paid for in cleared funds prior to or on arrival.

COVID- 19 Announcement

COVID- 19 Announcement for Armfield Angling Limited customers as of 17th March 2020

The venues are forced to close until further notice, at this stage it seems essential for everyone to remain at home for the good of all.

It is important to understand that for the coming weeks the priority is the health and safety of our valued clients. If you have a booking up to 28th March to 4th April 2020 we will endeavour to rearrange your trip without charge providing both your deposit and balance have been received. As 4th April approaches we will review the situation, if the imposed confinement period is extended we will contact by email those customer due from 4th April to 18th April 2020 and again endeavour to rearrange your trip.

We will continue to review on a fortnightly basis it is imperative that balances for all trips are paid by their due date to ensure any alternative can be made for you on your booked venue.

In the case you do not wish to rearrange and enjoy your fishing holiday we urge you to contact your holiday/travel insurance company for any refunds. As you can imagine we are currently working extremely hard to ensure customers can still enjoy their forthcoming visits.
