Hunnyfields Estate: Fish Stocks
Hunnyfields was previously a fish farm that contained a good stock of original carp up to the 30 pound bracket.Since 2022, there have been two stockings of pristine mirror and common carp. The first stocking introduced 12 fish in the 30 to 39 pounds and 12 carp 20 to 30 pounds The second stocking was a further 35 mirror and common carp in the 30 to 50 pounds plus.
The lake record currently stands at an impressive 57 pounds and the fish remain in pristine condition and have seen little angling pressure.
There is a selection of roach and perch in the lake that guests are welcome to fish for. There are no poisson chat in the lake.
