Lac de Vieux Chateau: Rules

Please familiarise yourselves with the rules as anyone found to be breaking the venues rules may be asked to leave and no monies returned. A copy of the rules is displayed on each swim.

  • All fish are micro-chipped, scanners are provided in swims for keeping records up to date (we can show you how to operate these if you are not familiar with the use of them)
  • Rods must not be left unattended at any time.
  • Slings and cradles are provided for safe retention of fish
  • Fishing from designated swims only
  • Carp care to be used on any wounds found on fish
  • NO FIXED LEAD rigs of any description
  • NO Magic Twigs
  • NO sacking of fish, retainers are provided and fish can be retained for photo preparation only
  • ALL fish caught over 50lb are to be photographed in lake
  • Micro-barbed hooks only 
  • Minimum 15lb lines to be used (NO BRAID)
  • NO open fires, BBQs are allowed, wood and charcoal can be purchased
  • NO particles to be used unless purchased from venue
  • NO animals
  • If snagged, NEVER pull for break, please contact a member of the venue who will be able to help with the rowing boat
  • Bait boats are allowed and can also be rented from the venue
  • Alcohol is permitted but in moderation, please remember this is our home
  • Particle (spod) Pellets and Boilies can be purchased from the venue
  • BINS are provided for cans and bottles only, all other rubbish is to be taken away from venue, including cigarette ends
  • Please do not put anything other than toilet paper in the toilet
  • Departure times 10 latest arrival times 3 pm. Please respect these times to give chance to prepare the venue after the previous weeks guests
  • Please Do Not feed the animals
  • The boat on site is for use by the venue owner only
  • Drugs are strictly not permitted on the venue. Anyone using these substances will be asked to leave with no refund
