Three years ago we were privileged to introduce to the UK market Domaine de la Ribiere, the success of which is undisputed as one of France's premier venues. Living in France and having fished many of its iconic waters such as Cassien, Lac du der Orient and Rainbow, I almost believed another venue to parallel these greats would be impossible to find.
I had been told by customers of a water only 45 minutes from my home.
The lake is 100 acres and holds some 1200 fish, all of which are young fast growing and hand selected for their appearance and growth potential. With fish to seventy two pounds and five other fish approaching the seventy pound mark, this had to be seen!
Carmen and I agreed we would not promote anything we have not visited and experienced ourselves. In April, I arranged a vist to Lac De Villedon for a weeks fishing. I was immediately impressed with the welcome by John and his team who gave us a warm welcome and explained thoroughly the rules at the venue.
Walking up the small track to the dam I was filled with excitement and anticipation and was not dissappointed. There before me was one of the most spectacular big fish waters I have ever seen. Access to the swims is by boat so the boat was duly loaded and it's electric engine fired up and we were off on in search of our chosen swim.
I simply could not believe we did not meet on our travels a single uk angler. How could the angling grapevine miss this?
Having being knocked out by the venues outstanding beauty and facilities you can imagine my disbelief when I slipped the net under my second fish of the week at a shade over 61 pounds!
We are delighted to offer this outstanding venue to our uk customers, so come along and join us on this ride of discovery - you will not be disappointed!!!

Armfield Angling proudly launched its new flagship venue on June 9th via its brand new website and it's Facebook pages.
Lac de Villedon has been under the radar for many years to the UK angler but held in high esteem as one of the best waters in France by the Dutch.
When we opened for bookings expectations were high as the carp angling jungle drums had been beating heavily! The interest and confirmed bookings within our first week have been even beyond our expectations. Don't be put off though the venue is 100 acres and offers a choice of 40 different swims, some singles, some doubles and some triples. There is also a fabulous choice of accommodation available at the venue for those who enjoy their home comforts.
As a newsletter subscriber to Armfield Anglings' newsletter we would strongly recommend being quick to secure your dates for this spectacular venue. With 1,200 fish that have grown at a phenominal rate and due to expert fishery management this venue will just be huge to the UK market in the coming weeks.
Rob Hales, Steve Briggs and Simon Crow have secured their dates and booked already, testimony to the quality of the venues rapidly growing reputation.
Lac de Villedon has already produced over 100 fish in excess of 55lbs since March this year and the condition of these young fish is nothing short of amazing.
Many features will begin to appear amongst the media shortly as the venue makes the transition into the UK spotlight.
We look forward to hearing from you!!
Tight Lines, Paul and Carmen.

Hopefully many of you have not failed to notice the media coverage over the last few months with Armfield Angling taking full pages in CarpTalk, articles in CarpWorld and electronic e-shots as part of our launch campaign to showcase the fabulous La De Villedon.
Fishing is generally slower over the hotter months of July and August but the venue has rewarded its visitors with some fabulous fish in pristine condition. Pictures of some of these fish are updated now on a weekly basis on a Monday morning direct to our Facebook and website pages.
We have been delighted with the support we have received from our customers old and new and are privileged to confirm customers such as Shimanonormark UK, Rob Hales, Steve Briggs, Des Taylor, Simon Crow and Chris Tarrant for future visits. As we speak we are busy organising, PR coverage for Steve Briggs and Rob Hales first of many visits in October this year. Steve will be writing a full report for CarpWorld that will appear in the coming months.
As word has spread at this fabulous venue we have now opened the bookings for the 2016 season. We still have availability in 2015 but we have been asked by customers who are aware of the publicity that Steve's visit will create so they are able to secure their future chosen dates and swims.
